Where It All Started

For many years now, people who love to cook and people who love to eat, have sought out my recipes. Cooking started for me at the tender age of eight, cooking in my grandmother’s kitchen under the direction or her and my mother. Even with physical limitations, my grandmother passionately guided me to prepare flavorful dishes and meals.

The lessons paid off. At 15, I was blessed to become a restaurant assistant manager; cooking every day, learning effective leadership skills, the techniques of fine dining, and embarking upon a journey that would lead to becoming an inn operations manager.

Owning a restaurant was my heart’s desire, ultimately. Thankfully, it was also a part of God’s plans for my life. I was blessed with my own establishment, where live music with a harpist, pianist, or orchestra were a part of the ambience.

Today the journey continues, and what a journey of learning, developing and elevation it has been. Throughout the years, educator, advocate and now author have been added to the ways that I share my gifts and knowledge with others. A more detailed account of how I got to this place can be found in my new book, “Brian’s Cooking.”

This is a video where I talk about my new cookbook entitled “Brian’s Cooking”. This is not the typical cookbook with just recipes. It’s a cookbook like no other where I talk about the story behind each dish and who inspired it. You’ll also find the pictures to be authentic and not digitally enhanced in any fashion.

In this video, we also mention the book will be available for preorder in March and available for ordering in April. We also talk about several book signing events coming in the near futures. The events will be scattered in select cities across the US. Stay tuned as we identify the future book signing cities.
